Woodworking II

Last week I showed you the newly created dog table. Here's the finished product! I went over it first with basic white indoor paint to form a base coat. Then I did yellow acryllic, followed by green stripes, and then Mom put on the polka dots and names. Cute and a moneysaver!

Because of Tallie's back problems, Dad and I decided to build a little table for both dogs' food bowls. Tallie and Bono were a little skeptical about eating off of it, but in the end, with a little encouragement (and a few treats) they gulped their food down. I'll post some pictures of the painted version later (after we paint it), but here are the current pictures.

Foothills Craft Guild Show 2009!

Many, if not all, of you know that my mom is a knitter! This year, she'll be in the Foothills Craft Guild Show. Summer Craft Project!

Being the organized person that I am, I enjoy laying out my school clothes for the next day. So, Mom bought me a clothes rack, I painted it to match my room, and then Dad helped me hang it behind the door. It's really cute, and I like it a lot. A very cute, quick, and practical project.

Summer Knitting

The yarn shop where my mom teaches classes has been doing a charity project this summer: preemie baby hats. It's actually a contest between this yarn shop and one in Alabama. At the end of the contest, the baby hats will be divided between UT and Alabama hospitals neonatal centers. So far, I've knit two hats, and I hope to make about four a week.
